Mindful Moments of the Week #30
Updated: Dec 6, 2020
Here are this week's set of guided mindfulness practices. The focus this week is a little different as its an intended flow of practice starting with grounding ourselves, opening your senses, performing a scan of the body, doing some journaling before finishing with gratitude. Enjoy!
Simply Stopping: How often do you just pause what you are doing in the day? Pausing gives us the space to reflect. Reflecting helps us to take the appropriate action rather than simply reacting to whatever it is that we face. In this exercise, we explore what stopping is all about and how you can easily create space between a stimulus and your response
Open Your Sense: Open awareness is a great practice to explore the World around us, devoid of any of the distractions. Here we look at how can tune in to some of the smaller aspects of the environment, and cherish them completely
Short Body Scan: The body and mind are incredibly connected. Studies have proven that we tend to experience a physiological response before we have comprehended the situation. It is why it is important to tune in to how the body is feeling. Any stressors, strains, feelings. We explore this in a relatively short manner in this exercise.
Practice of Journaling: Studies have proven that journaling has extension benefits whether increasing happiness, reducing stress, exploring new ideas & more. In this guide, we explore how to journal in a mindful way. This exercise is about setting yourself up for a successful journaling practice
Day of Gratitude: What are you grateful for in your day? Gratitude is an incredibly powerful practice yet we may rarely stop to truly take in all we are grateful for. In this exercise, we explore even the simplest acts of gratitude
