Mindful Moments of the Week #23

Here are this week's set of guided mindfulness practices. The focus this week is on awareness and how we can bring more focus to our day:

The Power of the Mind: The mind is a wonderful thing. It helps to build images, assess our environment & essential to dream. However, it also causes us to overthink, overanalyze, and nay become stressed when responding to certain situations. In this exercise, we explore the changing mind and how our thoughts are EXACTLY what we want them to be when we focus our attention accordingly


Releasing the Pressure Valve: We may regularly experience profound pressure in our lives, whether personal or work-related. Here we look at how we can bring some softness to the experience we are facing to drive ourselves to release that pressure


Waking up with Awareness: In this exercise, we explore a mindfulness exercise on simply bringing awareness to our breath. This may be something you explore early in the morning or maybe for a short time during the day to re-focus your attention. Either way, it helps you to ground yourself in the present moment


The Awareness Trigger: Here we look at how can begin to encourage awareness of our body and mind throughout the day. We set up certain triggers to enable us to better re-orient ourselves


Open Awareness: Wouldn’t it be great if we could tune in to and enjoy many parts of our current environment? We may not recognise them, but there is a multitude of sounds, sights, textures, tastes all around us that we rarely pay attention to. The power of Open Awareness is where we tune in to those and discover new ways of experiencing our environment
